♛These unworn women's lambswool cardigans are just ideal and in the most versatile rich dark chocolate hue popular in the era. The old yarn has tiny, natural variegated flecks in its color which are natural to the textile. Nice mid-weight that layers over and under stuff beautifully, providing cozy insulation warmth. And I have a small group of them to share!

These were made by Shore Knitwear of New York (they were active as early as the 1930s). How often do you see deadstock 40s knits? Be the first to remove the tag and enjoy!

Oversized slouch shoulders, knit lapels, extra-long, easily foldable cuffs, lovely front pockets, decorative floral metal buttons. Wear oversized or wear more form-fitting. Cute worn belted like a 49er, too.

Each is an individual piece in the same style and color as example photo.

Please read sizing information and then choose your cardigan from the drop-down menu.

♛Measurements (note, the sizing system the knitwear company used is a bit odd and doesn't appear to correspond to bust sizes...so please go by our measurements, as always)

♛Condition

Unworn/deadstock vintage with tags attached. 70+ years old. Beautifully preserved and free of blatant issues.

Since these are so old, there is always the potential for a tiny, inconsequential imperfection that is not noticed when worn, such as a pinhole or two only seen when held up against light source. Across the group we darned a couple tiny holes, the kind of work that difficult to detect on the exterior side. They are in remarkable shape, given the distant era and the woolen textile.

Two of the size 40s do not have the attached paper size tags but are deadstock/unworn like the rest.

To preserve their deadstock status and friendly pricing, these have not been cleaned by us. A normal dry cleaning or hand washing works great.

Return & Refund Policy

Vintage is sold as-is and all sales are final. All vintage garments will show signs of previous wear and use, including deadstock and unworn pieces. We take extra care to note and/or photograph any imperfections we find. You can read our thousands of happy reviews on Etsy and eBay for an idea of the quality and high standards we strive to keep.
