A darling late 1940s dress, a classic with a fitted bias-cut bodice (turning the striped fabric pattern into diamonds!), cuffed contrast pique sleeves + placket, faceted "crystal" glass buttons, fitted waist with matching belt, and a full skirt. Super cute and priced down due to verrrry minor cosmetic stuff!

Fits about a modern S to M range, with stretch/"play" due to the bias-cutting; please allow room for the fit/ease you prefer

Bust (underarm area measured flat, then doubled) to about 34" slack, ALL the way to 44" pulled taut

Waist about 25" hanging slack, 30" taut

Hips full

Shoulder to waist seam about 17" (belt sits at about 16")

Shoulder to hem about 45"

Shoulders - no seams

Sleeves capped

Armhole opening circumference about 16"

♛Condition

Good, wearable vintage shape. Cleaned. 75+ years old.

Minor overall wear from use/wash, and there are a few scattered tiny bluish marks to the white pique button placket. Nothing that attracts much attention when you're out running around...see photos.

The button under the belt is older, but does not match the others. It's common to lose this button from the belt rubbing. If the belt is worn, it's hidden. 

A great way to get true period style without the price tag!
