•important note: originally designed for young cis men, they run fairly slim through the hip so do check measurements carefully and allow room for a comfy fit.

These are labeled inside with various original military stamps, country of origin (New Zealand), address of their maker in NZ, or dates to the 1950s. Some even have the name of their original owner inside. 

Our shop partner was cool enough to score a large and complete collection of early military pieces, much of it deadstock/unworn, and these are part of that collection. The shorts shown are an example pair only; the pair you will receive is the same style.

♛Measurements

Be sure to allow room for fit and ease. All measurements are approximate; as these are individual pieces there may be minor variations.

This is the HIGH waist size of the shorts, not the body wearing the shorts -- at least an of inch wiggle room is recommended! For best fit: pay attention to where the RISE (measurement from center crotch up to waistband rim) hits you, and measure your waist up here. You can cinch the side hardware down or belt the shorts to take the waist in if it's a little too large for you.

♛Condition

Collectible deadstock pieces of military history, nearly 70 years old. We have graded each pair to be in very good to excellent condition.

Given their advanced age, it's reasonable that there might be the occasional inconsequential blemish. A few have patina to the metal waist-clasps. I found a tiny scrape or pinhole on a couple of the larger-sized pairs, but we have opted to keep them available in the mix as they are perfectly wearable and the larger sizes are scarce. 

As preferred by our military collectors, these historical relics are presented as-found.

If you plan to wear them, they can be dry cleaned or hand-washed in wool-friendly soap and hung to dry.

Remember the buttons are held on with the original thread and may require eventual reinforcement so you don't lose them. We can't warranty vintage, but these are sturdy, well-made military pieces that were meant to be worn very hard in the field.
