•Highlights: here's a wonderful true vintage mystery piece! I never like to state an age unless everything lines up logically, and this one has baffling clues from different eras.

Sold to me as 1960s, this jumpsuit features a front metal "invisible" zipper from Germany that dates to the 1950s (I found ads for it), wide legs (they are straight all the way down, even though they may look flared in the photos), and an even older (30s/40s) carved shell buckle for the half belt in the rear.

This beauty is all hand-sewn using pinked seams and older techniques, and clearly has been around for a while.

The "Jadeite kitchen glass" color gives me a 40s gym wear vibe, and the buckle back a 40s workwear vibe! The 70s were heavily influenced by this earlier era, too, which further muddies the water.

Can easily style her to suit many different older eras, from 1940s to the 1970s...layer over a t-shirt, blouse, or thin sweater, or wear on her own.
