♛Killer vintage shorts -- these are military regulation wear in various beautiful shades of olive green, a striking hue that can be used as a neutral.

These beauties hail from the New Zealand Army, circa. 1950s.

The fabric is a sturdy wool twill. The quality is amazing and the look is sharp, like nothing you can get at this price point today. Check our many reviews on Etsy to see what others have had to say about these.

These make amazing foundation pieces and have an adventurer/explorer vibe we love. They layer cutely over tights for cooler weather. Whether you are a vintage purist or you love to mix and match with modern, these shorts are on point. Wearable history!

•extra high waist with loops for an optional wide belt from your collection -- check that rise measurement to make sure you fit the high waist on these!

•buttons up front in a hidden placket

•hardware at side waist to cinch them in a bit more

•lined hip pockets

important note: originally designed for young cis men, they run fairly slim through the hip so do check measurements carefully and allow room for a comfy fit.

These are labeled inside with various original military stamps, country of origin (New Zealand), address of their maker in NZ, or dates to the 1950s. Some even have the name of their original owner inside.

Our shop partner was cool enough to score a large and complete collection of early military pieces, much of it deadstock/unworn, and these are part of that collection. The shorts shown are an example pair only; the pair you will receive is the same style.

These sell out for us quickly and we only have a finite supply left, so don't miss out!

Please select from the following collection using the drop-down menu. Be sure to allow room for fit and ease. All measurements are approximate; as these are individual pieces there may be minor variations.

This is the HIGH waist size of the shorts, not the body wearing the shorts -- at least an of inch wiggle room is recommended! For best fit: pay attention to where the RISE (measurement from center crotch up to waistband rim) hits you, and measure your waist up here. You can cinch the side hardware down or belt the shorts to take the waist in if it's a little too large for you.

Note: any original sizes marked inside have been re-checked by us, as they are not always accurate!

Collectible pieces of military history dating from nearly 70 years ago. We have graded each pair to be in very good to excellent condition, with many of these seeming to be deadstock/unworn. Each pair has been examined by two trained dealers.

Given their advanced age, it's reasonable that there might be the occasional inconsequential blemish. A few have patina to the metal waist-clasps. I found a minor moth hole or two on a couple of the larger-sized pairs, but we have opted to keep them available in the mix as the larger sizes are harder to find.

As preferred by our military collectors, these historical relics are presented as-found.

If you plan to wear them, they can be dry cleaned or hand-washed in wool-friendly soap and hung to dry.

Remember that the buttons are held on with thread dating to the original manufacture of the shorts and may require eventual reinforcement so you don't lose the cool original buttons. We can't warranty vintage, but these are sturdy military pieces that were meant to be worn very hard and to last a lifetime!

Please check sizing carefully before ordering and ask any questions prior to purchase. Always happy to help you!

Our pieces are true vintage with a history and a past life, not newly made reproductions. Please be familiar with vintage clothing and read over our shop policies before purchasing. We are happy to answer any questions you might have to help you with online purchasing.
