1980s/1990s does 1940s noir designer suit. Princess-seamed peplum jacket with stand-up boned, coffin-pleated collar and jeweled closures with faux pearls + rhinestones. Long slim skirt with a wide elastic waistband and a 14" deep rear slit for walking. Both pieces exquisitely made of a wine red cotton velveteen. Note: color is true wine red, some of the photos came out too burgundy-toned.

Unapologetically fabulous...do not miss this set. Wear together or apart!

Tagged a VINTAGE 6. About a modern size S to M cusp; please allow room for movement and ease. Stretch waistband on skirt allows some leeway.

Potential to alter larger/smaller by moving jacket closures and/or using allowances. This is a high quality set that has old school fabric allowances inside and can be tailored. There is about 3" total in extra fabric allowance incorporated into the skirt's seams.

Waist of skirt about 20" unstretched and 28" stretched to MAX, and has 1" extra on the waist clasp tab to help fudge slightly bigger

Length of skirt about 39" and has about 1 1/8" hem

♛Condition

Overall great vintage shape. Gently cleaned and freshened. 30+ years old. 

There's a small scrape on the velvet finish on side of one arm below its elbow. Slight signs of use to rear of skirt, including a couple small scrapes to the nap down low on the center seam and above the walking slit. See photos. It's difficult to get a good close-up of velvet fabric, but imperfections do not really catch the eye.

In person, what stands out is her luxe beauty and commanding star power!
