Stunning deadstock ca. 1970s - 1980s wide-leg slubbed fawn-colored trousers, made in France by $$$$ Parisian couturier Jean-Louis Scherrer.

Per Wiki, JL Scherrer worked at...

"...Christian Dior as an assistant designer alongside Yves San Laurent. Following Dior's death in 1957, Scherrer worked under Saint Laurent, and then for Louise Feraud, before launching his own fashion house in 1962 on the Rue du Faubourg Saint-Honore with the backing of Jacques Chabrol, a French millionaire.

In the mid-1960s Scherrer had an agreement with the American department store Bergdorf Goodman to grant them exclusive rights to reproduce and resell his designs in the States."

•Colors: fawn brown

Measurements

Please measure yourself carefully including rise/high waist, and add room for fit and ease of movement.

Tagged a VINTAGE size 10

Waistband about 26"

Hips about 38"

Inseam about 33" + 2" hem turned up

Outseam about 44"

Rise about 14 1/2"

Condition

Great shape, gently worn. I invisibly closed one tiny seam pop at center crotch. These are a sample pair, perhaps modeled briefly...the hems of the cuffs are merely tacked and could stand a permanent hem put in at your preferred length or to be rolled up. 45+ years old.
