Details

Scarce ca. 1970s vintage jumpsuit in crisp red, white, and blue jersey knit, trimmed with gold brass nautical buttons and a large anchor-shaped appliqué on one leg. This fun novelty piece borrows inspiration from the beach pajamas of the 1920s to 1930s, and makes a surefire conversation-starter!

Shoulder of bodice to hem/cuff about 52 1/2" plus 2 1/4" hem turned up

Legs about 40" long along outseam and 28" along inseam (note LONG rise affecting inseam length and go by the outseam for leg length); has 2 1/4" extra hem turned up at cuffs

Rise about 16"

Armhole opening circumference about 16"

Sleeves about 5 1/2"

Condition

Great vintage shape overall, unfaded and does not show much past use. 50+ years old.

One sleeve got caught on something during its long life, leaving a tiny-tiny split in fabric, a pinhole, and some pinprick-scuffs -- see photo close-up. Could be easily mended, as preferred, or left as it is. This rare jumpsuit is priced very well with this minor imperfection in mind.
