The 1960s maxi skirt of dreams. Colorful and intricate hand-embroidered pastel cellophane straw flowers pop against a black ground, both front and back. Incredible detail.

This is a technique usually reserved for handbags and hats of the same era!

No clues to its designer -- just a tiny, vintage size 12 label inside. Exterior is a black jersey, interior is a cotton gauze slip. I'm getting a Made in Mexico or the Philippines feel to it, but can't say for sure.

Exquisitely made, a true standout garment for the discerning collector seeking top-shelf pieces. Like nothing I've seen in 30+ years collecting/selling vintage!

About a modern S to M. Extra wide seam allowances inside allow this one to be altered up to a few inches larger or smaller.

Please measure yourself carefully and add room for the kind of fit you seek + ease of movement. 

Waist to about 27"/tight 28"

Hips to about 40"/tight 42"

Length, waist to hem about 42" and has 2" turned up

♛Condition

Excellent vintage shape. Clean, but not cleaned by us. 55+ years old. 

Well-preserved, little in the way of signs of age or previous use. All ornamentation appears to be present and is vibrant in color, even richer in person.  

Difficult to put a price on something so unusual and exquisite. Zero comps out there.
