From the estate of a glamorous bohemian who owned an exclusive dress boutique in the Lower East Side in the 1970s comes this ca. late 1960s to early 1970s "Carpet Bags of America" handbag. This circular "luxe hippie" satchel was one of the early ones they made when the company was just starting out, the components themselves often sourced from European textiles and antiques and, therefore, only a few made of each style. A stunning silk body in Marie Antoinette hues, lined in a royal purple satin. The long comfy strap is lined in a dusty blue velveteen. :)

Their characteristic logo rose appliqué is intact; features interior pocket.

About 10" x 27" (including handle).

Great vintage. 55+ years old.

There isn't a designer label attached inside, but the style and the attached rose appliqué easily identify this as a a CBoA piece.

During trip and out-of-state sales, all purchased items ship promptly after our posted return date.

We are not responsible for delays that happen that are outside of our personal control. 

Expedited/Express shipping is often available for an additional fee. Contact us before purchasing any item(s) you need expedited in order to arrange for this upgrade.

Buyer is responsible for any taxes, VAT, or other fees imposed by your country. Items returned to us by your postal service for non-payment of taxes will incur re-shipping costs.

Reshipping costs are the buyer's responsibility. The address input on your order is the one used automatically by the software to generate your label. If you do not pay to reship your bounced order in a timely manner (7 days), it will be considered abandoned and returned to inventory or donated.
