Details

Wounded (see information below), but wonderful and scarce! Fun vintage 1950s to 1960s dress that's actually a "split skirt" jumpsuit, a classic with fitted shirtwaist bodice and waist, contrast belt that can be wrapped to the front OR the back, a short front zip below waist, big pocket, extra full and mega-wide culottes legs.

The novelty print has a world travel and tourism by air and by ship theme, including airport place names in lights (Hong Kong, Samoa, Tahiti, Maui, Tokyo, Hawaii) and people gathering coconuts, driving rickshaws, folks on outriggers, etc. Normally I offer a discount to folks who find cultural or historical relevance, connection, or personal meaning in similar prints. In this case the jumpsuit is priced down for all and is a bargain for what it is.

Condition

Good vintage with some wash fade to print and cosmetic imperfections. Priced as-is. 65+ years old.

Some scattered weak tea-type spots and splashes. Minor and easy to overlook since almost all are located on the "edges" of the jumpsuit. Look over photos.

The zipper is missing some teeth and feels stubborn, though still functions. I'm including a deadstock same-era white metal zipper in the correct size, a simple job for any dry cleaner, tailor, or sewist to replace if you ever need to.

Great piece for folks like me who favor style, price, and rarity over "perfect" condition.
