1965 designer cherry red knit dress with killer matching criss-cross buckle-belt that matches the X-shaped detail at the neckline. A rare style that actually features a stretchy elastic waistband, so it suits a range of sizes.

The elastic waist was very much a touted "feature" for this brand!

•Fabric(s): a cotton knit that's made to look and feel like a smooth, warm wool! but no scratch! great textile, wish I saw more like it

•Designer/Labels: A Fischer Fashion, Cleveland...see ads from 1965 for same dress! I prefer her with the belt worn flipped to mirror its neckline, but either way works

Fits a range; please allow room for movement, ease, and the kind of fit you prefer.

Bust (underarm area measured flat and doubled) about 40" unstretched, 46" pulled taut

Waist 24" unstretched, 36" stretched unbelted

Belt currently has holes for 29", 30", 31"...new holes can be added by a shoe repair person

Hips about 38" unstretched, 48" pulled taut (~10" down from waist seam)

Length, shoulder to waist about 18" and meant to have waist pulled up to yours to blouse slightly

Shoulder to hem about 43 1/2" and has 2 1/4" hem

Great vintage shape, vibrant and unfaded. Gently cleaned and freshened. 55+ years old.
