Stunning vintage 1950s party dress with sculpted bodice, ruched, nipped waist with lavish velvet millinery roses, and very full triple-layered skirt of chiffon with a bubble-hemmed front train and a tulle petticoat layer for structure. Head-turning dusty coral pink + peachy tones. I have had its beautiful sister in the past, with some slight stylistic variations.

♛Measurements

Fits about a modern S. I believe it was invisibly taken in about 1 1/2" through rear zipper area (fabric remains inside so alteration can likely be reversed) and contains additional generous interior fabric allowances and darts to alter larger or smaller.

Bust (underarm area measured flat, then doubled) to about 34"/tight 35"

Waist to about 26"/27"

Hips full

Center shoulder (estimated) to waist seam about 16"

Shoulder to hem about 44"

Armhole opening circumference about 14"

♛Condition

Very good vintage shape, looks great for age and its intricacy. 70+ years old.

A few minor imperfections. Chiffon layer of skirt has a small 1 1/2" V-shaped old repair, falling naturally into folds and located toward one side about 2" above the hemline. Minor picks to chiffon skirting layer can be seen if it is separated out from the lining and gone over closely, typical for the textile. Skirt is layered and voluminous, so blemishes are masked under normal use.

Slight signs of age to velveteen, as to be expected, with burnishing/fade to the rims of underarms, as seen on side view image, covered under arms during wear.
