•Highlights: highly sculptural origami-like petal bodice with self fabric straps; boning + petersham belt inside bodice for structure; cross-over cummerbund belt wraps forward from rear waist and fastens at front waist with hidden hooks; sarong style over-draped skirt; rivals the work of Peggy Hunt, Ceil Chapman, etc...all the signature touches you'd expect in a high end piece, inside and out, but doesn't have the label or the price tag

•Colors: black, touches of gold metallic, cream, soft cocoa with an impressionistic rose print

•Fabric(s): an expensive silk satin brocade

•Lined: silk organza lines the skirt + additional solid black lining throughout

•Closures: rear metal zipper; front hidden hooks for belt

•Designer/Labels: no

About a modern size XS to S; please allow room for fit and ease as desired

There are lots of wide allowances inside intended for altering larger, as expected in a higher end garment

Bust (underarm area measured flat, then doubled) to about 36" (can squish in a little more cleavage here if you need to, due to the design!)
Waist about 25 1/2"/taut 26"
Hips to about 37"/38"
Length, shoulder to waist about 16"
Shoulder to hem about 44" plus 1" hem turned up

♛Condition

Overall great vintage condition. Cleaned. 60+ years old.

To note: the light portions of the print below the waist seam show two faint traces of age toning when studied...these blend into the variegated tonal print itself and were only noted under scrutiny in my studio's intense lighting, not something that'll be noticed during wear. Dress is a visual knockout!
