Delightful vintage ca. 1940s to 1950s cusp (see ad from 1950 exactly) semi-sheer toasty tan "Dreamlon" basketweave-woven shirtwaist dress by designer David Crystal. Front mustard Bakelite buttons that look like spiderwebs, large notched front bust pockets, a convertible button-loop collar, nipped waist with shirred panels, comfortable A-line skirt.

Measurements

Fits like modern size M to L; please allow room for ease and the kind of fit you prefer. Interior fabric allowances to allow tailoring larger or smaller.

Bust (underarm area measured flat, then doubled) to about 42"/44" pulled tight

Waist to about 30" (shown belted; add your own belt as desired)

Hips to about 50"/full (~10" down from waist seam)

Center shoulder to waist seam about 17"

Shoulder to hem about 43" + 4 1/2" hem

Sleeves 13" uncuffed

Shoulders about 16 1/2"

Armhole opening circumference about 19"

Condition

Great vintage shape overall, very sturdy. 70+ years old.

This beauty came hemmed by a former owner in black thread, and my personal preference would be to take that down. I'll leave it to new owner to decide as you may wish to adjust length and it's wearable as-is. I mean, look at those buttons!

Be sure your address is correct and up to date. We aren't responsible for items misplaced or stolen after delivery, so be sure you are shipping to a secure location.

Insurance is ALWAYS available for an upgrade.

Items ship 1-2x a week normally.

During trip and out-of-state sales, all purchased items ship promptly after our posted return date.

We are not responsible for delays that happen that are outside of our personal control. 

Expedited/Express shipping is often available for an additional fee. Contact us before purchasing any item(s) you need expedited in order to arrange for this upgrade.

Buyer is responsible for any taxes, VAT, or other fees imposed by your country. Items returned to us by your postal service for non-payment of taxes will incur re-shipping costs.

Reshipping costs are the buyer's responsibility. The address input on your order is the one used automatically by the software to generate your label. If you do not pay to reship your bounced order in a timely manner (7 days), it will be considered abandoned and returned to inventory or donated.
