Unusual 1940s vintage wool “Teddy Bear” car coat in russet brown, super plush, with bold puffed/padded shoulders, wide belled sleeves, quilted interior, interior straps, + pockets. A cuddly treat! 

See ads for similar examples of Teddy Bear coats from circa. 1941-45. I think ours dates towards the earlier end of their popularity.

Please allow room for fit and ease and any clothing layered under it. Should suit many figures in the S to L-ish range as it's open down front.

Bust (underarm area measured flat on exterior, then doubled) up to about 44" 

Length about 39" 

Shoulders seam to seam about 15 1/2" and your shoulders can extend past this into the "puff" area

Sleeves about 25"

♛Condition

Very good shape for a near-antique, very wearable. Unfaded and well-preserved for the age. 75+ years old.

To note: a few historic moth grazes located low on coat, see photo. The imperfections thankfully don't attract attention due to the coat's rugged texture and the obscure location, but are factored into pricing this harder-to-find period essential!
