1940s graceful honey rayon William H. Weiss belted dress w gathered bust, self belt, and an A-line, gill-pleated skirt with sweeping surprise rear fishtail pleating + train. Harder-to-find color + size.

About a modern L to XL. Please allow room for movement and ease and the kind of fit you are going after.

Bust (underarm to underarm measured flat, then doubled) 42" slack to about 46" puled tight

Waist about 34" slack, 36" pulled tight, and has belt to fit

Hips 44" slack, 46" taut (~10" from waist)

Shoulder to waist about 17"

Shoulder to hem about 44 1/2" and has 1" hem 

Shoulders - no seams

Sleeves about 3"/cap

Armhole opening circumference about 18"

♛Condition

Very good vintage shape with subtle signs of its age and history. 75+ years old.

The cloth belt shows its age and has wash wear, especially on its flip (no-see) side.  There are 3 pinhole-to-pencil point-sized holes on the back shoulder near/around the shoulder pad. I found them holding dress to a window's light.

There's a very faint, ghostly mark on the bodice (last photo is a close-up with direct window light on it); I can barely find this in regular indoor lighting, but thought it worth documenting.

Dress feels sturdy, photos wonderfully, and has loads of character, charisma, and pizazz.
