Striking and easy-to-accessorize vintage 1940s to early 1950s mushroom grey wool gabardine suit by "Reveler Original" and featuring "The Up-To-Date Co, Poughkeepsie" (a premium New York department store) label. Strong padded shoulders, elegant princess seams, gorgeous silver and black floral metal buttons, muted blush crepe lining, fitted waist, and smart A-line skirt.

About a modern size S; please allow room for ease and the kind of fit you prefer. Interior darts + fabric allowances for tailoring somewhat larger or smaller. Some "give" to fabric when pulled very tight, wherever noted.

Bust (underarm area measured flat across front, then doubled) to about 38"/snug 40"

Waist of jacket (measured across front and doubled) about 28"/snug 30" 

Length of jacket, shoulder to hem about 22 3/4"

Shoulders suit about 16" - 16 1/2"

Sleeves about 24"

Waist skirt currently about 24" but can be fudged to about 26" by moving the button on the tab

Hips to about 38"/snug 39" (~10" down from waist)

Length of skirt about 29" and has 2" hem

♛Condition

Very good vintage shape overall, though it presents impeccably.

Nitpicks: a very faint mark to one side of rear skirt near zipper placket. A similar faint mark on placket which is completely hidden when jacket is buttoned closed. 

A "stop" was added with grey thread to the bottom part of original zipper by someone in its past; zipper is a bit quirky but still usable. 

A great-looking gab suit that can be worn right now or restored to perfection.
