Vintage 1940s black cotton housecoat or hostess wrap gown in a ripe, resplendent print of red, pink, peach, butter, and pale sage roses.

Wrap fit with wide lapels, sleeves that can be worn long or cuffed up to display stabby wings, hip pockets, and sweeping full-length skirt.

Don’t feel like you need to keep this one at home. She’s begging to be taken out, if only to your front porch for afternoon tea (pinky up!).

Closures: interior ties, exterior sash belt

About a modern volup L to XL, or worn roomy on smaller sizes (was too large for my size XS form, though). Interior fabric allowances + darts for tailoring somewhat smaller or larger..

Bust (underarm area measured flat, then doubled) to about 42"/44" (all dimensions guestimated using the rear of bodice -- it's a wrap so you can adjust front as needed!)

Waist about 34"/36" and tie however tight you like it

Hips full

Length, shoulder to waist seam about 17" (sash sits along this seam)

Shoulder to hem about 53 1/2" + 1"

Shoulders suit about 16" - 17"

Sleeves about 22" and can also be worn cuffed as shown

Great vintage shape. Has retained nice, deep black color.
