Vintage 1940s cold rayon "Textron" housecoat or hostess gown in a darling novelty print of daisies, ribbons, and artist's palettes. Documented 1945 -- see ad!

Wrap fit with loop-de-loop trim, puff shoulder with padded sleevhead, wide sleeves, hip pocket, and sweeping full-length skirt.

Don’t feel like you need to keep this one at home. She’s begging to be taken out, if only to your front porch for afternoon tea (pinky up!).

♛Measurements

Fits many! About a modern M to XL, or worn roomy on smaller sizes. Interior fabric allowances + darts for tailoring somewhat smaller or larger. Move one single waist snap to easily make it several inches larger or smaller!

Bust (underarm area measured flat, then doubled) about 38" slack, 46" taut (all dimensions guestimated using the rear of bodice -- it's a wrap so you can adjust front as needed)

Waist up to about 36" and tie however tight you like it

Hips full

Length, shoulder to waist seam about 16 1/4"

Shoulder to hem about 47"

Shoulders suit about 16" - 17"

Sleeves about 19"

♛Condition

Good vintage shape, sturdy, with some age character it's picked up honestly over its 80+ years. Presents and wears wonderfully, priced as-is.

Nitpicks: age fading as seen in the images, running along the tops of the shoulders and outer edge of the sleeves. 

Faintest hint of toning remains on the loopy details after two good soaks.

Side note: the rear facing/liner has some tiny tacking stitches, which are either factory or placed by a former owner and were intended to keep it smooth and in place.
