♛Details

•Highlights: heavily padded puff shoulders w shirring; front plunge via wrap style; wide sleeves can ALSO be flipped up at the stabby cuffs to reveal a field of blood red (I used two hidden tiny safety pins to achieve this, but a few simple tacking stitches would make it more permanent); sweeping skirt; rare and coveted color block black widow beauty; loungewear but hell yeah I'd wear this out as a dress

•Colors: black, blood red -- some photos lightened for detail

•Fabric(s): rayon velvet

•Closures: interior tie, exterior tie

•Designer/Labels: Linda of Los Angeles (I found their ads dating back to the 1920s)

♛Measurements

Fits range, due to the wrap style; please allow room for movement and ease

Snap at waist can be easily moved to make it larger or smaller and to adjust fit! I'm measuring based off the current location of the snap.

Bust (underarm area measured flat, then doubled) 32" slack/hanging, about 43" pulled more taut, plus lots of extra room if you like cleavage

Waist seam area about 30"/tight 31" currently (move snap to adjust) and then tie to fit with the ties

Hips full/about 42"/taut 43"

Length, shoulder to waist seam at center waist seam about 17" and sash sits above this

Length, shoulder to front hem about 54 1/2"

Shoulders seam to seam about 15" and your shoulders go past this to fit into the "puff"

Sleeves about 22" uncuffed

♛Condition

Overall great vintage shape for 75+ years old. Jet black, unfaded. Cleaned.

Noted: she was worn and enjoyed in her era...nothing that stands out to the eye, but do expect normal subtle signs of age and use e.g. slight settling to velvet on sash/waist seam from tying.

There's a mysterious number inked onto an inside seam invisible from exterior/when worn...mentioned for accuracy.

As mentioned, the blood red cuffs are shown invisibly pinned inside sleeves with tiny safety pins...I prefer this look, and if you'd like to make it permanent, you can do so easily by adding a few simple tacking stitches. I leave it to new owner to decide!
