Vintage 1940s rayon crepe dress is a goth dream with its rare insect motif. A large hand-beaded, sequinned moth in tones of black, crystal, and amber perches on your shoulder among vining foliage. Surplice bodice, fitted waist, asymmetrical cut with "knotted" peplum, with the additional surprise of a muted ballet slipper pink insert in the side-swept skirt, providing a flash of color as you step out on the town.

About a modern M to L. Interior fabric allowances + darts for tailoring smaller or larger. Some natural "give" to this crepe fabric when pulled tight, where noted.

Great vintage shape with only normal light signs of age and use under scrutiny. I do not see any missing beads or sequins from the design.

Nitpicks: the hidden side zipper was replaced by a former owner.
