Vintage late 1930s to early 1940s cusper evening gown of black satin with structured puffed sleeves, a pink chemise layer, fanged points at the waist, and voluminous, sweeping net skirting like black smoke.

Sturdy vintage shape, subtle cosmetic imperfections noted under scrutiny. 85+ years old.

Nitpicks: a faint reddish cast to the black satin at the rear waist found in very bright lighting; the camera intensifies this, less evident in person. Discoloration on underarms of pink slip lining seen only when dress is turned inside out. Some scattered tiny holes and imperfections are present in the mesh skirt layer, found if this layer is pulled away from dress and examined but hidden during normal wear. Dress presents with considerable beauty and charisma, just like photos.
