Gorgeous 30s piece is likely an early piece of loungewear or hostess wear, but works in modern times perfectly as a wrap dress or a duster jacket. Shirred shoulder, bell sleeves with deep elegant cuff notches, cloth belt loops (no belt found), an interior tie that hooks to secure, exterior snap closure. So flowing and sensual!

Fits a wide range as all it has is an interior hook/eye and two exterior snaps that can be moved as needed to adjust size...nicely accommodating XS to XL

Bust (underarm area measured flat, then doubled) up to about 44" with the current snap/hook set-up

Waist to about 34" currently and has cloth belt loops for a belt, if you like...again, you can make this larger OR smaller by moving the snap and the hook!

Hips to about 48"

Shoulder to hem about 54 1/2" 

Shoulders about 16 1/2"

Sleeves about 21"

Armhole circumference about 21"

♛Condition

Good vintage shape, presents well, has scattered minor cosmetic imperfections ("wounded bird"). Cleaned and freshened. 85+ years old.

One underarm has a small off-seam mend and there's a vertical small mend on the edge of the placket (hides when wrapped/snapped closure). A larger mend was made by a former owner at the hem which is also not visible when this piece is worn; it gets covered up due to the wrap style. Gown could be shortened to a 48" length to remove that last flaw altogether, but given it's not visible, I will leave the original length intact. 

There are various pinholes, tiny scrapes, and beauty marks, as is usually found on vintage velvet that is approaching antique status. Nothing out of the ordinary.

Wears beautifully and has years of life yet, priced and sold as-is. If you don't need "perfect" in your older vintage, it's a nice-sized one in a harder-to-find color!
