♛Details

•Highlights: these pieces of history are thought to date WWII and shortly thereafter; Sweden remained neutral during the war, but built up a lot of uniform surplus in preparation to help the allies to liberate Denmark and Norway in 1945 (‘Operation Save Denmark') as well as to provide humanitarian aid during the conflict itself

cute classic cut; hip pockets; high waist w tunneled belt loops; early plastic or metal button fly; all of these are same style as the examples shown, but there are small natural variations throughout the group; these were worn in the era and broken in by individuals who owned and cared for them; you can't fake patinas and fades like this!

we've hand-selected the best examples in terms of character and aesthetics from a larger group

•Colors: various shades of indigo blue

•Fabric(s): nice soft broken-in cotton denim, very much like French workwear and chore coats

•Lined: no

•Closures: front button fly

•Designer/Labels: a few have military stamps or notations, a select few have the really cool Swedish three crown (tre kronor) emblem embroidered on rear waistband

All accessories (belts, jewelry, crinolines, pins, etc.) are for style inspiration only unless indicated.

♛Measurements

These are the taut measurements of the garment taken flat and doubled. Be sure to take your waist measurement at the top of the short's rise (center crotch measured up to waist). Add a little wiggle room for a great comfy fit! The belt loops can also be used to add your own belt and nip the waist smaller.

Measure the rise against your body to see where the waist will hit on you, then encircle this area with your measuring tape and add a little room. (On me, they hit below natural waist so I sized up.) You can simulate fit of the short's various dimensions by encircling them with the tape using these measurements.

♛Condition

Good to very good shape 70+ year old workwear pieces. Each worn and cared for by an individual in the Swedish armed forces. No two exactly alike.

Various levels of fade, distressing, paint flecks, speckles, and minor beauty marks. Rarely, they may have a carefully hand-done in-era mend (something small). We culled out any that aren't COOL and aesthetic.

Let us pick you a great pair in your size from this hand-selected group!

Bulk-laundered. These iron/press well, and are priced very fairly for older denim pieces. Great for military collectors, reenactors, early workwear collectors, and fans of older vintage denim with character.
