♛Super htf ca. late 1940s US Navy women's uniform pants. Sturdy pure wool. Fine, twill-woven on the diagonal, smooth to the touch, presses out perfectly. A serge, similar to a gabardine.

You will get a lifetime of use out of these sharp and stylish babies! Deep ink blue in color and loaded in period style. Whether you love military history, modern mixing, or a Hepburn spin, these are great, pairing wonderfully with tee-shirts, blouses, and cropped cardigans.

Special note: these late 40s pieces are damn near identical to the earlier 40s WWII WAVES pants, which are impossible to turn up (and are unlikely to be deadstock). We know many folks have been enjoying these for WWII reenactment purpose, so out of curiosity we have had an expert military collector compare them to her WWII era pair. She found only one subtle construction difference to a pocket edge. As with most uniform pieces, styles are SLOW to change. Should you need a pair of women's slacks to complete your WAVES uniform, these do work well.

•high waist w original self belt and cool buckle
•double waist buttons plus hidden sturdy brass side zipper closure
•lined welt hip pockets
•wide straight legs
•rear waist vent (interior fabric allowance here along this seam for tailoring purposes)
•like our WWII sailor pants, some of these were tailored smaller in the waist by a military surplus company
•meant to be worn hard and last!

Some of these include the original military paper packaging, so cool!

Presence/absence of military labels and/or deadstock tags may vary slightly, but all trousers are the same style/era. Don't miss owning these pieces of history

♛Measurements

Note: these slacks were meant to be tailored to fit individuals, as they are military issue uniform pieces. They are ready to be hemmed and/or tailored by your local seamstress, dry cleaner, or tailor. They feature rear waist allowances and can be taken in somewhat smaller or larger through that same rear waist seam.

DISREGARD ANY SIZE TAGS ATTACHED TO THESE...we have measured each pair individually as the original tags are often inaccurate.

As always, allow room for fit and ease! Please ask questions before purchasing if you need help or advice.

♛Condition

Unworn/deadstock. 70+ years old. A few come in their original paper packaging, so cool.

Please remember and respect that these pieces date to the 1940s. Sold as-found. It's reasonable that a tiny flaw or imperfection may turn up from time to time on a pair.

Fresh from decades of storage. I lint roll before shipping. To preserve deadstock status for our military collectors, cleaning/pressing is not included in purchase. Dry clean or hand-wash/air dry.

The original size tags attached are often inaccurate. Disregard and go by the measurements and sizes we state. Like our WWII sailor pants, some of these were invisibly tailored smaller in the waist by a military surplus company.

These were uniform issue pieces. Each pair has serged or pinked hem cuffs, meant to be hemmed to the perfect length by its new owner. Price does not include this hemming or any tailoring.

Check retail pricing on 1940s women's slacks and WAVES pieces, and see if you can find any deadstock ones that are priced remotely as fairly.
