Glamorous high end hostess-wear from 1947 (documented; see ad). Constructed more like clothes meant for socializing than for hiding away in the boudoir or for sleeping. The biggest and boldest self fabric shoulder pads set off a cropped/midriff jacket w silk frog closures, celluloid waist buttons, and waist sash ties at the wasp waist. Bust of jacket to about 40"

Waist of jacket about 26 1/4" unbelted and buttons show signs that they were moved over about an inch to make it tighter; this is easy to set back to original

Shoulder to hem of jacket 18 1/4"

Shoulders seam to seam about 15 1/2"

Sleeves about 19"

Waist of pants about 22 1/2" (I know!) but has 1 1/2" on the tab and also generous seams and darts throughout for alteration (and extra hem fabric), and in this case: so worth it to make this work for you!

Hips about 42"/43" at about 10" down from side waistband 

Inseam of pants about 26"

Outseam about 38" and has 2" hem turned up

Rise about 15"

♛Condition

Great vintage shape. 70+ years old. Clean and fresh with only slight signs of age and use. A faint little mark by rear shoulder pad that does not draw attention.
