Fabulous and rare 1960s high-end designer leopard print cocktail dress w matching ‘main character energy’ wide, metal chain-adorned cincher belt. Cut to hug your curves  yet remain comfortable in a very modern way…oh, and she's got pockets, yes.

You’ll be happy to know the velour-finished, kitten-soft fabric and the print BOTH meet my finicky approval!

Early leopard print dresses in great sizes don't turn up often, especially ones that are sophisticated and not overly kitschy. Do not miss out.

•Fabric(s): a very soft and flexible velour-velveteen textile (for lack of a better term...it's good stuff, though, as new owner will see)

•Lined: lined in silky black

•Closures: rear zipper

•Designer/Labels: Jamison Boutique (designer) and Chas. A. Stevens & Co. Chicago Designer's Shop (store label)...this designer was found in better upscale department stores, I. Magnin, Saks, and the like

Belt is labeled a VINTAGE size 18.

About a modern size L to XL; please allow room for movement, ease, and the kind of fit you prefer.

EXTRA generous fabric allowances inside, allowing it to be altered larger by several inches.

Bust (underarm area measured flat and doubled) about 42" slack, 43" pulled taut/tight

Waist (where the belt loops are) about 38" slack, 40" taut, and meant to be tightened to fit you using the belt (belt has a slide mechanism instead of belt holes, and it fits up to about 34"/35" reasonably)

Hips about 46" slack, 47" taut (~10" down from middle of belt loops)

Length, shoulder to hem about 42 1/2"

Great vintage shape with only slight signs of its age, does not seem to have been worn much. Gently cleaned and freshened. 55+ years old.
