1950s-1960s cusp (best guess: about 1961-ish) deadstock novelty print linen shirtwaist dress with Midsommar-like folk print of kinda deranged-looking children, happy suns, plump lil’ birdos, and kids doing circus stunts on horses, too. Tags attached and really cool original stretch belt included!

Tagged a VINTAGE size 11. About a modern XS to S. Please allow room for movement and ease and the kind of fit you are going after. Standard fabric allowances and darts to tailor somewhat larger or smaller.

Bust (bust area measured flat, then doubled) to about 38"

Waist about 25"/nearly a tight 26" unbelted

Hips to about 39" (~10" down from waist seam)

Bodice, shoulder to waist seam about 16 1/8"

Shoulder to hem about 41 1/2" and has about 3" hem turned up

Shoulders seam to seam about 15 3/4"

Sleeves about 10 1/2"

Armhole circumference about 18"

Unworn with its original store tags. 99% pristine. 60+ years old. 

A wee rust speckle is found in the busy print, as shown in close-up. Rust is removable with a drizzle of Whink, if you want to treat it, but it would require laundering afterward. This dress is sold deadstock as-found with tags intact.
