RARE Vintage 1940s Well-Worn Swedish Army Workwear Indigo Blue Denim Button-Fly Cotton Shorts -- Choose Your Pair!

•Date: ca. 1940s/WWII era to 1950s

•Style: Swedish army military surplus shorts

•Highlights: cute classic cut; hip pockets; high waist; early plastic or metal button fly; all of these are same style as the examples shown, but there are small natural variations throughout the group; these were worn in the era and broken in by individuals who owned and cared for them; you can't fake patinas and fades like this!

♛Measurements

These are the taut measurements of the garment taken flat and doubled. Be sure to take your waist measurement at the top of the short's rise (center crotch measured up to waist). Add a little wiggle room for a great comfy fit! The belt loops can also be used to add your own belt and nip the waist smaller.

Special note: I tried these on and immediately adopted my own pair. :) These hit below the navel on me where my waist is larger, so I found sizing up looks/feels the best on me. Measure the rise against your body to see where the waist will hit on you, then encircle this area with your measuring tape and add a little room. You can simulate fit of the short's various dimensions by encircling them with the tape using these measurements.

Well-worn but wearable. 70+ years old and sold as-found.

These were each worn and cared for by an individual in the Swedish armed forces, so no two are exactly alike. Various levels of fade, faint marks and stains, distressing, paint flecks and beauty speckles. Some have carefully hand-done in-era mends. Great for those of us who love visible signs of history and character in their vintage.
