A vintage women’s US Navy pure wool serge/gabardine overcoats w original belt. Closes two different ways using the heavy buttons that feel/sound like Bakelite, and was meant to be worn buttoned up for inclement weather, buttoned down for regular service.

These vintage coats are a bit later than WWII WAVES-labeled pieces, ranging 50-60 years in age, but remain practically identical in style to the original WAVES Mainbocher uniform overcoat. (The term WAVES was used into the 1970s.) Sharp and of wonderful high quality, made to endure for the ages.

♛Condition

Great vintage condition, sturdy and presenting wonderfully. We lint-roll our military pieces before shipping; they can be dry-cleaned.

These are NAMED pieces that were each cared for by an individual in the US Navy. There is potential for some tiny, normal sign of their age (e.g. a pinhole somewhere obscure, a tiny scuff), but nothing that would catch the eye or interfere with their good looks.
