Bombshell vintage early 1960s DeWeese sundress in their coveted style. Princess seamed bodice with smocked, scooped rear; contrast two-tone details, full skirt with hip pockets. The lushest, prettiest floral in a smooth cotton instead of their later polyesters and jerseys -- the tropical fruit cocktail colors would fit right in at the Madonna Inn! One of the prettiest I've ever seen.

About a modern M to L; please allow room for ease and the kind of fit you prefer. Very stretchy!

Bust (underarm area measured flat, then doubled) 38" slack to about 45" max

Waist about 26" slack to 32"

Hips full

Shoulder to waist about 15 3/4" but can easily let down (6" extra on straps!)

Shoulder to hem about 44"

Great vintage shape. 65+ years old.

This looks essentially NEW and is vivid/crisp as the day it was made, but a couple things to note:

The interior bra was removed (these often deteriorated over the decades and were taken out). Can easily add bra cups back in or go without...wearable either way. 

The shoulder straps were converted from the original which would have hooked into the back bodice with a metal hook and a tab, now altered into permanently static shoulder straps...they did this work tidily and left the original strap length intact inside bodice, in case you want to adjust bodice length.
