Vintage 1940s to 1950s Shorts - RARE Early US Air Force Chambray Blue Cotton Side Button Military Shorts XS

♛Killer vintage shorts -- these pieces of wearable history are EARLY USAF women's regulation wear dating just as the 1940s shifted into the 1950s. They are a crisp chambray blue cotton with white topstitched details and sharp "birdseye" side buttons of celluloid. The lovely pale blue is similar in intent to denim, coordinating with just about anything. Whether you are a vintage purist or you love to mix and match with modern, these shorts are on point and I cannot recommend 'em enough. Truly an ideal cut, color, textile, and silhouette.

Our shop partner was cool enough to score a large and complete collection of deadstock/unworn early women's military pieces, and these are part of that collection. ♛Measurements

Please note that these would be very easy to alter larger as the rear waist and rear rise feature a generous 2" of extra fabric allowance along the vertical seam, intended for this very purpose. (See photos.) Also, the fabric should relax slightly after they've been on you, much like denim does.

Note: all buttons are present, but do remember that they are held on with thread dating to the era of the shorts and may require eventual reinforcement. We can't warranty vintage, but these are sturdy pieces that were meant to be worn hard!
