•Date: ca. end of 1930s to beginning of 1940s -- a cusper, from what my research revealed

•Highlights: dynamic use of stripes; cute ruched leg draws up with self fabric; halter neck; sleek rear panel features an over-panel with Waldes Kover-Zip, a cloth-covered metal zipper (shown unzipped in last photo); note: this bathing suit fits better now than it fit dress form in these photos, as I will explain in the condition notes below

•Colors: black, delphite blue, white

•Fabric(s): satin lastex for a wet-look shine

•Lined: front and crotch lined in jersey

•Closures: rear metal zipper

•Designer/Labels: no labels remain

♛Measurements

About a modern size S; fit our size 4 dress form nicely; please allow room for fit and ease as desired

Bust (underarm to underarm measured flat, then doubled) from about 30" to 35" with the stretch

Waist about 24" unstretched, 27" stretched

Hips stretch to about 36" easily

Center neckline to crotch is about 22"

♛Condition

Very good vintage condition. Hand-washed and line-dried. Almost 80 years old.

To note: the jersey lining of the crotch has a hole in it (so typical of these!), and there was a tiny scuff/thinned area near it that we fused invisibly from inside to strengthen. Not visible when worn! Also, this suit originally had been taken up at the legs to fit a shorter torso -- I didn't find this until AFTER I took the photos, so the alteration has since been reversed (without leaving damage), and the suit now fits a typical torso length properly.
